TALLAHASSEE, FL With less than a week to go before the November election, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum has a 2.49-point lead over former Republican Congressman Ron DeSantis in the race to become Florida's next governor and incumbent Democrat Sen. Bill Nelson enjoys a 2.3-point lead over Republican Gov. Rick Scott in the race for U.S. Senate.
Statistics released by Florida election officials on Thursday show that Republicans who voted by mail outnumber Democrats by 66,710 votes, while Democrats led Republicans in early voting by 3,173 votes.

Blue Wave, anyone? Republicans are crashing the polls!
Never seen anything quite like it.
The poll worker at our Florida early voting site says they haven’t seen this kind of turn out since 2010....
Democrats led early voting in Florida by 90k in 2016. The media hailed it as proof of how effective Hillarys campaign was on the morning of the election.
I project that after “souls to the polls” on Sunday yields 33,000 (based on a 70% turnout of 2016’s 46,000), Rs will finish up over 2016 by 125,000 at that point. Trump won by 113,000, so I project FL Rs to finish with a lead of over 230,000 by the end of election night.
Whats with this 2.49-point lead nonsense? Pollsters are lucky if their polls are accurate to within 10 points of the actual outcome. Implying that they can gauge public sentiment to one one-hundredth of one percent is just hysterically ridiculous.
Media isnt saying anything about the heavy R early vote turnout around the country.
Yours truly voted all R early vote in CO today. You aint seen nothin yet.
That may change after the Jimmy Buffet campaign concert. S/
Maybe Obama will draw them out to vote with a free concert and free food.
You never know.
Did the same earlier this week here in CO as well. Not optimistic about the governors race, though. Polis is up double digits last I looked.
I voted and took my elderly parents last Saturday.
Straight (R) across the board for all three of us. My wife voted the same the next day.
My mother is still registered Democrat(she never got around to changing it) and I do not think she is alone, especially in this cycle with #WalkAway being a factor.
Still, everyone, act like we are 10 points down. A narrow win will give the Democrats hope that one or two more trunk loads of fake ballots might work in 2020. A complete and total blow out might force the moderate Democrats to finally step up and take down the radicals ruining their party.
One reason the Dems had a big push at the end of the Early Voting in 2016. There were a handful of Democrat counties that extended their early vote into that last weekend. This time those counties affected in the Panhandle have up to Monday the day before to vote early.
I am cautious but optimistic on how Tuesday will turn out.
Have the dead and illegal votes been counted?
Democrats win polls, GOP wins elections.
Question LS, did they have “souls to polls” last Sunday? How come the republicans didn’t show up in droves like the dems..I’m guessing these were black voters right? And how many StoPs do they have? I thought it was only one Sunday which happened this past weekend.
(Inward sigh) OK, Dad.
Media isnt saying anything about the heavy R early vote turnout around the country.
Actually, I’m seeing a number of articles headlined something like, “Early voting doesn’t tell us anything.” They somehow downplay or fail to mention who’s winning the early voting.
I’m one of those that chooses to vote on “election day”. Early voting or absentee voting, without a valid reason, are ways to hoist some shenanigans on the election. IMHO.
