GAB is a place for cowards who aren’t man enough to say what they want without anonymity. And yes, it is different from forums such as this one, which polices itself and is for the free exchange of ideas and information. GAB is totally anonymous and has no accountability which means it attracts the lowest of the low. It’s where you can say anything simply because it will shock people, and you can feel like you matter for a few minutes.

Any place that allows truly free speech will be quickly inundated by people trying to discredit it or otherwise disrupt it. I have never checked Gab but I suspect this is true there as well as other boards. One has to learn how to intellectually filter the trash from legit debate. In my experience this ain’t real hard but you do need to be prepared to be assaulted with gore and propaganda porn. If you have the stomach for it you can actually learn things the MSM ignores.

How many Twitter or Facebook accounts are fake? Gab is not the only place where one chooses anonymity. Doesn’t make everything posted any worse on Gab than any other site. I can avoid what I want. Actually it is self responsibility to filter for myself what I read. I don’t need the government, Zuckerberg or someone on Twitter making my choices.
