President Trump said Monday that "tent cities" will be set up to provide shelter for migrants seeking asylum.
"We're going to put tents up all over the place," Trump said on Fox News. "We're not going to build structures and spend ... hundreds of millions of dollars. We're going to have tents, they're going to be very nice and they're going to wait and if they don't get asylum, they get out."

I just think that putting them in tent cities accomplishes what they are seeking. Once they cross the border and get put into tent cities, the caravans will never stop.
Despite the more emotional side of this thread, we can't shoot anybody an everyone knows that.
So the administration is going for an isolated out in the desert tent camp to everyone isolated and make entry miserable enough while the Powers That Be decide who's eligible and who isn't. This idea dampens the firestorm that would come from violence and should give pause to the next several caravans.
Short of invading Mexico and setting up a military border defense zone, this is probably the most viable solution.
I hope you are right. The only conceivable way I can think of to stop or slow this constant flow is to establish internment camps along the border. And then, they get processed and deported ASAP. And by processing, I mean fingerprints, photographs, and DNA sample. When they cross again, they get lengthy prison terms.
The organizers of these caravans need to be indicted for human trafficking, and where possible, have assets seized.
The seditious media conveniently ignores your point. They could have accepted asylum in another country. But they want asylum in a richer country.
I blame the lack of medical screening of illegals for any number of outbreaks of diseases which were previously under control. This is just one more way that illegals damage this nation, and it’s innocent children who suffer.

The caravan invasion is a TV show. It’s about imaginary. Trump knows a thing or two. I trust his vision on how to counterattack.

The tent cities will be on the Mexican side of the border AND the invaders will be held there until their hearing!!!! NO CATCH AND RELEASE!!!
I see an upside if President Trump sends judges to the border too. Hold the illegals and the hearings right there, at the border.
We need to change the accounting method for asylum claims. Instead of “first-in, first-out” where everyone who wants to break our laws gets years in our country to disappear, we need to go to “last-in, first-out”. All new illegals and all new claimants for asylum get an immediate hearing from a judge stationed at the border for those hearings. Those who fail go home. Those who pass that preliminary hearing have to take and pass a lie detector test too. Everyone else goes home. Everyone who is found to have lied is permanently barred from entry to the United States.
Once they’re in tent cities, it’s just a matter of days before a judge orders the President to release them.
If we let them in, we have them and their extended families forever.
Why not just take 50 miles?

Like this is going to work. The minute their big toe in on U.S. soil they are here for good. Just who is going to make sure they respect our “Tent Citys”? They will be over whatever fence we install and standing in front of Home Depots across the country before you know it. A week later they will be on Public Assistance and raping American women. This will be Trumps biggest failure if they are allowed to step on American soil.

The defense Dept indicated they are sending JAG officers along with doctors, engineers etc. So I’m thinking there will be tents set up as Court Houses. Process them through the court onsite and have the busses and planes ready to transport them back.
