Fascism was established in Spain, Italy, Germany, and elsewhere.
Only Germany had NAZIs.
I oppose Fascism and Communism but the Commies only have a problem with Fascism and are quick to label anyone to the right of their positions as “Fascist”.
I think it was ill considered for Donald Trump to say he was an Nationalist. I understand what he meant but he could have more simply said “American” and everyone around the world knows what that is and that it is different than everywhere else.
There are people who identify as “white nationalists” and “black nationalists” and “separatists” etc but “American” has no such divisions. America was founded on a number of principles.
The Commies main problem with Fascism is that the two compete for the same bloc of voters - statists.
If you look at Mussolini’s rhetoric, it’s clear that there is no difference between fascism and communism.
Same goes for Adolf and others that promulgate national socialismno difference between that and communism either.
However, “nationalism” by itself is unrelated to either. The left takes that word and falsely conflates it with (and tries to make it synonymous with) jingoism, misoxeny (which is hatred of foreigners versus xenophobia i.e. fear thereof), Chauvinism (the real thing, not “male Chauvinism”), ad nauseam.
Your whole dialogue proves you are submitting yourself to the rules and regulations of the PC crowd. I REFUSE to allow a bunch of scum bags intent on the destruction of my country to FORCIBLY ALTER my choice of words. I AM A NATIONALIST! That means AMERICA FIRST!
But he said he was a Nationalist, not just an American for a reason: that he supports nations acting in their own self-interest. If there were more Nationalists in Europe, the EU would be kicked to the curb. And that would be a very good thing, and not just for Europe.
