I studied antisemitism with the great George Mosse and later on with Walter Laqueur, Renzo de Felice, and others, and I learned a lot about what drives modern anti-Semites, but what really drove me, from the very beginning, was a question about the victims. I could not imagine getting on the trains to Auschwitz and the other death camps. Yet millions did, even though they knew where the cattle cars were headed and what that meant for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Why didn’t they fight? Why did they make it so easy for Hitler, Eichmann, and the other monsters of the Third Reich? That was the question that drove me, and still drives me, most recently in my current project on the Italian Jews.
I don’t believe there are simple answers to such questions—we’re not very good at decoding the human spirit—but it helps to look at those who did fight. Who were they? They fall into different categories. Some were Orthodox Jews, very observant. Others were involved in secular politics, primarily of the Left, socialists and Communists. Those who did worst, those who went quietly, were good liberals for the most part, as were most European Jews. This certainly doesn’t mean that only liberals got on the trains. Plenty of secular radicals and Orthodox practitioners went to the death camps. But I was taught early on that resistance mostly came from those who understood very well why the Nazis and fascists hated them, and saw clearly that their enemies had dehumanized the Jews, and were thus intent on eliminating them.

Fox Business on Sunday said it pulled an episode of “Lou Dobbs Tonight” that contained what critics said was anti-Semitic sentiment just a day after a gunman killed 11 people in a synagogue in Pittsburgh.
In the segment, Judicial Watch official Chris Farrell claimed a Central American migrant caravan moving towards the U.S. southern border is being funded by the “Soros-occupied State Department.” Farrell was referencing George Soros, a Jewish billionaire and political activist who routinely funds Democratic candidates and initiatives.
“We condemn the rhetoric by the guest on Lou Dobbs Tonight. This episode was a repeat which has now been pulled from all future airings,” Fox Business senior vice president of programming Gary Schreier said in a statement.
A spokeswoman said Farrell “will no longer be booked on Fox Business Network or Fox News Channel.”

I mentioned it before and mention it again. Not all, but many seem to take delight to vote for the same socialist-liberal bastards who delivered them to the gas chambers in the first place. Too bad that many are slow learners, what makes me feel bad as I always had a soft spot for them as I had several of them as my friends, and there was very little they wouldn’t do for you.
The same questions could be asked of slaves, whether Africans enslaved by other Africans or Muslims, or European slaves captured by Muslims.
The warlike nature of humans gets too much attention. What about passivity in the face of aggressive forced changes to life?
The Israelis do allow themselves the luxury of politically correct delusional thinking. They know that anti Semitism, whether it be from medieval mullahs, neo Nazis or just plain crazies is pervasive and is a real threat to Jews everywhere. There is no solace when defenseless posturing and misplaced empathy leads to the slaughter of innocents.
The Israelis make no maudlin apologies for actively and effectively defending themselves.

Passivity can get you killed. I can't for the life of me see why some people are passive. If you can't fight for what you want, you don't deserve it.
That said, I know the Left loves passivity. Some Lefties are passive and the leaders in that movement love it (and take full advantage of it).
I think it's Israel's lack of passivity that is at the heart of the Left's hatred of Zionism.
I can’t believe how many anti semitic Jews there are as well as Dims in America TODAY. I thought we would never have the problem that Germany had, but here we are.

Not only do they have the right to defend themselves, they have the responsibility to do so.
When I lived in NYC, I used to get tickets for the prize fights at Madison Square Gardens (live and streamed in from Las Vegas). I was always shocked how few of my friends wanted to go with me.
They would rather attend a modern ballet by Twyla Tharp.
Don't get me wrong, I love good cultural events as well. But I was shocked at what a bunch of pussies city folks were.
As an aside, a few did go with me to a bar on the upper East Side that was famous for its fist fights (its reputation for fights was its main attraction).

Before the Armenian Genocide was fully underway, the government conscripted the able-bodied men and slaughtered many of them, then later went after their families.
Take the men, take the guns, and surrender becomes almost inevitable.
All it takes is a single entry with multiple interior exits and a posted guard armed or not placed during services plus lock the friggen door.
