Megyn Kellys disastrous tenure at NBC News is coming to an end as her low-rated Megyn Kelly Today was canceled Friday following the backlash she received for questioning if blackface is racist.
Now the pressure is on NBC News chairman Andy Lack, who handed Kelly a three-year contract worth $69 million in the first place.
Lack who has been clinging to power amid a series of scandals and embarrassments - now oversees a network that is in the process of cutting ties with its polarizing star who is only halfway through the lucrative contract he used to recruit her to the Peacock Network........

The alphabet networks are largely irrelevant now. I know of no one who watches their silly news shows, and few who watch more than one of their weekly shows.
As such, they are simply f*rting in space.
They matter because they still have a big audience, but this is going away. Mistakes like Lack’s bleed them out faster.
Since NBC never broadcasts news anyway, why do they need a news "honcho"?
Lack must not be a rabid leftist?

who thinks she’s been treated like crap ?
Matt Lauers fuffler!
Don’t have any idea who signed Kelly’s contract & agreed to pay her that much money.
HOWEVER-——IF she is still going to receive those funds, IMO, she is still an EMPLOYEE of NBC & they can just keep paying her & NOT ALLOW her to work for anyone else during the length of time of that contract.
IF I were caught up in a similar situation, and there was a possibility that a tarnished employee who was still collecting funds from a contract from me, I would balk & fight like Hell to keep that person from collecting funds from ME & also working for someone else.
She may be caught up in a situation where they have to pay her, but they don’t have to assign her a single second of air time. LITERALLY-—BENCH her & keep her face off other networks.
They might do that, though I doubt they have to worry about her as competition anywhere. Right now she is radioactive. I don’t think she can get an agent, let alone a job as serious as she had at NBC or Fox.

There must be more to the contract. For instance, if Megyn publicly badmouthed NBC, wouldn’t NBC have the right to fire her and not pay out her contract?
And, if NBC mistreated her in certain ways, couldn’t she leave and get her contract payout?
