The EU just outlawed memes and more than half of the graphics on his van were memes.
The big tech oligarchs in the USA have been closing down “fringe websites” and “fringe personalities”.
This guy just gave tptb a reason for shutting down what they consider “fringe” AND a reason for “level headed” conservatives aka RINOs and neverTrumpers a reason to tell Trump and his supporters to “tone it down”.
That and some people will tone it down just so they’re not associated with this nut.
Meanwhile the left isn’t going to tone it down so it becomes a one sided argument or screaming match.

Yes, and I think that is the point of the attack. The attack was the ultimate form of harassment which was called for by Maxine Waters and others who received bombs. Maxine was sent two fake bombs to taste her own medicine. The guy probably thinks that was fair. He is a nutjob, but there is some logic to his target selection.
The other advantage of getting the entire media to focus on this is that it gets the attention off the ricin letter arrest a couple days ago.
