Less than two weeks out from Election Day, more than 8 million people nationwide have voted early in the 2018 midterms.
The current nationwide total of early or absentee ballots counted 8,156,995 exceeds the 2016 total from two weeks before Election Day (Oct. 26, 2016) by over 200,000, according to data provided by TargetSmart and independently analyzed by the NBC News Data Analytics Lab.
Nationally (among all states with early voting activity so far), Republican-affiliated voters make up 44 percent of the early voting electorate and Democratic-affiliated voters make up 40 percent of the early voting electorate.
Republicans are outpacing Democrats nationally, a change compared to two weeks out from Election Day in 2016 when Democrats were outpacing Republicans.

2016 was hightest voter turnout by number (if not percent)
Saw some lefty bands offering free tickets if you go vote
Music writer said such tactics were necessary because of the ‘low’ numbers turning out in 2016 (translation: hillary needed more support)
God Bless you, Hulka. Would that all our conservative Christian citizens have your sense of duty and patriotism.
Blessings upon the healing of your ankle!

WINNING....MAGA.....MORE WINNING......:)!!!
I had the flu one year, and I’ve seen road crew ‘destruction’ projects that happen to stall traffic on election day.
I cast my vote early and don’t have to worry about health, schedule, etc.
I voted yesterday for all republican in Colorado, and no democrat.
No tax increases, and no amending constitution crap.
I usually vote, “NO,” for judge retaining, but there was one Adams County judge that I was with on jury duty. The guy’s awesome, so I voted for him to stay.
Sadly, I was the only one there voting. But most people are working at that time of day.
108% of the vote for the Democrats from their inner city strongholds just won’t be enough at this rate.
Thank you. Voting for me was a huge and painful physical challenge.
One wonders if the lefty voter would have the dedication to research physically impaired voting and how to do it, let alone do it.
I am no one special, truly, I’m just like every other Freeper, I take my civic responsibilities seriously.
I am voting 100% Republican all the way down to dogcatcher. I don't care how RINO the Republicans are either. This year, I'm doing it for Trump.
Voted early on Monday, and there were a fair number of folks there. The tally on the machines was several times higher than usual.
The poll workers told me there were lines on the first day. It’s Tijeras NM people... you can barely get a line if you offered free beer.
You ARE special, Hulka, and an excellent role model for all of us. Blessings, FRiend.
You are kind, and I thank you.
I voted early today in Blue MD for the Republican Governor. the parking lot was packed and the lines inside were ridiculous.
There will be a Blues Wave.
Besides, I enjoy the satisfaction of seeing my ballot go in the box on Election Day and knowing I'm keeping the pollsters on their toes a bit.
2 million of those votes are probably involved with vote fraud.
I voted early for the first time today but will from now on. You make good points.
“They are trying to prepare the Left in a gentle manner for what is about to happen to them.”
i’m surprised they’re not proclaiming a blue wave to the bitter end so that when the red wave happens instead, they can start screaming “russian collusion” as the obvious reason the polls didn’t come true ...
