The animosity and polarization surrounding the judicial confirmation process falls on Congress and its lack of a collaborative spirit, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Wednesday.
Speaking at a public event, Ginsburg said collegiality means understanding the institution you work for is more important than the egos of the individuals, according to the Washington Post.
She did not make reference to Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who was confirmed by the Senate earlier this month in a 51-49 vote, with only one Democrat voting for him.
Ginsburg noted that she was confirmed in a 96-3 vote, and that the late Justice Antonin Scalia was unanimously confirmed.
What a difference in time that was from what we are witnessing today, she said, adding that there was not enough of an effort to reach across the aisle in Congress.
Ginsburg, 85, is the second-longest serving justice on the bench, behind only Justice Clarence Thomas.
She also talked about former Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, saying she put country above party and self-interest.
OConnor announced earlier this week that she is withdrawing from public life due to dementia.
96-3? Heck.. Leon Panetta was 98-0. Both are devout Marxist Leninists, coincidence. Oh wait .. over half of CONgre$$ is too.
Post-17th Amendment ratification Democrats and RINOs promote judicial tyranny so that they can promise politically correct rights to buy votes.
She’s a liberal...you think she will ever criticize the left? If so you haven’t read many of her rulings.

I took her meaning to be a message aimed at Kavanaugh, that he should have withdrawn and a candidate that could get the sort of broad support that she and Scalia got should be found. But he let his individual ego interests stand in the way of being a true statesman (as she defines it).
She is naive and doesn’t understand how evil the Demons have become.
She was critical of the Demons’ antics while they were in progress.

I disagree. Imo, she’s just another honor-less, no integrity having, pathological lair of a leftist.
I was shocked to see her speak out against the ongoing persecution of Judge Kavanaugh. She was disgusted by the Demon antics.
