Using a fleet of various vehicles to sort of leapfrog the “caravan” in segments, allows the shots of large groups of people walking for a short distance, for the photo op, while speeding up transit from weeks to merely days.
Very soon, they are going to be traversing the storm track of Hurricane Willa, due to strike the Mexican coast south of Mazatlan, a resort city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, followed by torrential rain storms.
Might be impassable for a few days.
