Yeah, but if you cash out, you’re only going to end up with around $600 million after taxes.

Or worse. From the nets:

Mack Metcalf and Virginia Merida

A couple who won a $34 million jackpot in Kentucky in 2000 ended up living separate lives in separate mansions before their deaths.

Mack Metcalf and estranged-wife Virginia Merida split the jackpot but divorced in 2001. The Sun Sentinel reported that he bought a Mount Vernon-type mansion in Kentucky and she bought one near the Ohio River. He bought horses and she brought home stray cats, the paper reported.

He died of complications from alcoholism in 2003 at age 45, the paper reported. Later that same year, Merida’s partially decomposed body was found in her bed. There was no sign of foul play, officials said.

Good for Leroy. He walked over from his Section 8 to pick up a pack of Newports, a "forty", and some pork rinds. Snagged a lottery ticket while he was there, and now he's a bazillionaire! No more EBT for Leroy—here comes the Cadillac and shiny shoes!

Someone is going to be very happy if they aren’t already.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are miserable.

Ha! What luck!

Whoever the winner is, should send a thank you note to President Trump. The Trump tax cut just saved him over 23 million dollars on the $900 million dollar cash option.
