(WASHINGTON) The following is a statement from Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa.
Members of the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers made a bad call by crossing the picket lines of their union brothers and sisters currently striking at the Ritz-Carlton and six other Marriott-affiliated hotels in Boston instead of finding another place to stay during the MLB postseason.

I knew it! Jimmy Hoffa is a zombie!
Yeah they did.
Players union is a joke.
I loved the replacement players.
Uhm, Jimmy Jr., unions just don’t got that old magic no more. Deal wif’ it! m’kay?
MLB player minimum is $535K. Players average over $4 million.
Sorry Jimmy - your membership numbers are dropping like a rock. If it wasn’t for UPS Drivers, the Teamsters would have less than 500,000 members. You don’t matter anymore.
F.O. Jimmy.
I wonder what huge event is about to happen within a couple of weeks or so that the union thugs are coming out with this “hand to mouth” nonsense? The average union worker makes bank these days.
Did anyone tell Geraldo that Hoffa’s still alive?
Oh the horror of it!
It isn’t like the players make their own reservations. The team does that and it would be almost impossible to find enough rooms on short notice even if it wasn’t the playoffs.
Most teams have their favorite hotels that meet certain requirements, like security and location, that would limit choices even in the larger cities.
Plus, getting a block of rooms for the team is something you need to reserve well ahead of time.
Hoffa should send in his enforcers and break a few legs and crack some heads of the picket line busters. Make it seem like the old days.
