For Trump’s opponents, the caravan represents a trap. Has Trump’s radical nativism so counter-radicalized them that they have internalized the caravan message against any border enforcement at all? If yes, they will not help immigrants. They will only marginalize themselves—and American politics will follow the European path in which anti-immigration parties of the extreme right cannibalize the political center.
If liberals insist that only fascists will defend borders, then voters will hire fascists to do the job liberals will not do. I’ve been pounding the drum for this warning since the European migration crisis accelerated in 2013. The warning holds as true as ever—and now it’s coming home.

Yes, they are being transported, there are pictures on other threads of it. Although I lack the evidence to state it as fact, I believe this is all organized to influence the elections.

The fact that Frum sees the danger that faces the left due the border issues is actually a huge (but satisfying) surprise to me. With respect to Frum I’ve previously operated on the “Once an Idiot, Always an Idiot” rule.
Frum essentially recommends the usual subterfuge, of appearing to support border security, until after the election.
Apparently, many are so out of touch, that they need reminding.
When the cameras are on, they walk. Otherwise, it's motorized transportation, all the way!

Of course it is. However, with the news of more ‘caravans’ being launched from other countries this could morph into a real mass movement of would be damp Americans to try and flood the border. It is now fall the weather is cool and many many many form south of the border may see this as a great opportunity to get into the land of the Big BX.
Why would a Canadian like Frum care about the integrity of US borders? Those Hondurans are not going to end up in Toronto.
