“Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday...”
“Time for some of these folks to start filing lawsuits against these places for discrimination.”
A waste of time and money.
A political philosophy, or membership in a party, is not a Protected Class under Civil Rights Laws.
There is no legal recourse.
Their pallets were spared!
Need to crowdfund their lawsuit.
Many Ruby Tuesdays have shuttered, needs to become all of them.
I haven’t eaten at a Ruby Tuesdays since a roach walked across my table in the Hasbrouck Heights, NJ franchise about 10 years ago. I will continue to avoid that dump like the plague.
Yes, hope they're awarded enough to get the company's attention.
If this really happened the way the guy claims, then I am glad he is outing Ruby Tuesday. However, I think it was foolish of him to wear that shirt to a restaurant. He should never give the people who cook his food a chance to be angry at him. If I am at restaurant and am discussing politics with my wife or friends, I always make sure the restaurant staff cannot hear me. I do not want my food doctored by some left win maniac.
Flood the local restaurant with phone calls...
No. This is equivalent to what happened in the 1950s about restaurants refusing to serve blacks.
Its a free spedch issue and these People need to be SUED under the Civil Rights act.
If you serve the public, that should include ALL the public.
Were the situation reversed, the ACLU would fo this gratis.
As I understand it NRD Capital management took them private earlier this year. Itll be interesting to see if they take any action in the near term or if they just ignore the publicity and deal with it internally (or not at all).
I wouldn’t carry anything bearing a slogan into a restaurant. Not that I’m averse to presenting an opinion, but I don’t fancy eating spit.
Ruby Tuesday sells sh*t food. Why anyone would go there on purpose is beyond me.

Maybe we should organize a nation wide one evening protest at all Ruby Tuesday restraints on a Tuesday evening.
Ruby Tuesday - Home of the $10 salad bar with saucer sized selections. After 2 or 3 people go through the line, the salad bet is bare.
I was at a bar during the election season, guy and his wife walk in, he has a deplorable T-shirt on. He ask me if the table next to us was taken. I said “It’s all your’s this is the deplorable section”.
Martin County, FL I love it here!
As a family, it's just not economically smart to eat at these types of places anymore (Chillis, Applebees, Red Robin) by the time we leave with tax and tip it is easily $75-95 for subpar food.
If you stay they'll spit in your food or poison your children.
Democrats are thugs backing thugs... these are the same tactics they used in the Jim Crow South... and they have others.
Want to get even? Write reviews... trash them politically. Hate them and their 'establishment' forever. Tell your friends and neighbors. Turn them into the health department.
But don't let them poison your family. NOT worth it.
North Carolina is FULL of Northeast transplants.
And like all places that the NE moves to, it simply becomes a liberal paradise.
This isn’t because of lefties moving from the NE. This is because of so-called NE conservatives. They are the ones who are moving there. They bring their “but conservativism” with them and bend things to the left.
Happened about 15 years ago and NC is about 10 years into the change. I’m from the NE and I can smell that sh!t from 1000 miles away.
Arkansas is particularly affected by this from california. They don’t see it - but I do and I’m raising the alarm. Texas is bending left as well and those from TX refuse to see it.
Idaho is fighting it and I have to figure out how.
I don’t quite get Ruby Tuesdays myself.... Only been there a few times.. none close by and nothing to distinguish them from any of the other casual dining chains....
But one time we were at the beach and stopped in still in our suits on our way back to our house, and I honestly thought they were going to refuse to sit us.... As though they were a suit and tie restaurant.... They did seat us, way in the back of a mostly empty restaurant... So clearly they have to have some sort of policy at the corporate level or something.. .it was just odd.
