Napoleon and the Germans were both thwarted in Russia by exceptionally cold winters. WW1 and WW2 were both influenced by weather. I think we have a shot of at least delaying and shrinking the Caravan.
There was an anecdote about a German soldier, served soup boiling hot out of a company kettle, who misplaced his spoon. By the time he found it 30 sec later, the soup in his bowl was lukewarm; by the end of 2 or 3 minutes, what was left in the bowl was frozen solid.
