The GOP has released a new attack ad against Democrats. But whereas its first ad had depicted a compilation of liberal Democrats behaving like an unhinged mob, its new ad published Friday features media news reports documenting the acts of violence being carried out against Republicans.
The news reports cover everything from Republican Sen. Susan Collins husband receiving a threatening letter allegedly containing ricin to a Republican campaign manager in Nevada suffering bruises to her neck and arms after being accosted by a Democrat operative.
The reports also cite the assault of two Republican operatives in Minnesota and the arson attack on a GOP headquarters building in Wyoming.
The beginning of the ad contains a chilling quote from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who earlier this week had told a New York audience that if some Americans wind up suffering collateral damage because of the Democrat Partys agenda, then so be it.
We have to have total clarity about what we do when it comes to everything a womans right to choose, gay marriage whether its about immigration, whether its about gun safety, whether its about climate shed said during a public interview last Sunday.
I think that we owe the American people to be there for them, for their financial security, respecting the dignity and worth of every person in our country, and if theres some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, well, so be it.
Published earlier this month, the GOPs first ad contains similarly eerie and potentially violent rhetoric from other left-wing figures, including former Attorney General Eric Holder and California Democrat Maxine Waters.

Visuals fine, but the audio is going too far.
Too meek of an ad.
They didn’t even have time to include the heavily vandalized GOP HQs in Winnebago County, IL and NYC.
“Fighting back.”
Only about 50 years late. Better late than never, I suppose. If we had fought back 50 years ago, the situation in 2018 would be a lot different.
The “collateral damage, so be it” remark is extremely scary. She’s giving the “go do it” signal to the violent extremist wing of the democrat party. Of course, that is now the mainstream core of the party.
“the audio is going too far.”
I don’t understand what you don’t like about the audio. Can you explain for us?
All these type adds should have Rep. Scalise close with, Im the Representative that got shot and I approve this message.
“savages savages” it’s going too far
Pelosi wants other to fight ..so she can keep her cushy job.
What should we call them? Activists? Dont let the left dictate the language. Just say the truth. What are they going to do? Riot?
Pelosi wants others to fight ..so she can keep her cushy job.
Nasty old privileged white women.
I prefer "f_ing savages" myself.
Where, exactly, do you hear savages savages?
I just rewatched and relistened to it and do not hear the word “savages” anywhere.
Next add should be the poop and needle filled streets of San Fran Pelosis district.
I noticed there was not a single report from the national media to include in the ad.
To them, these things never happened
I am so glad the GOP is finally taking up the fight against the violent left.
Before Trump, the GOP’s main strategy was to back down and apologize for being too extreme every time the left criticized them for anything. That strategy was horrible. Trump is showing them that it is okay to have a backbone. It is okay to stand up and defend what you know to be correct.
Better to include:
-assassination attempt on congressional baseball team
-maxine waters comments
-eric holder comments
I think it’s a powerful ad. Dovetails nicely with the rise of the “jobs not mobs” theme.
“What are they going to do? Riot?”
They did after the election two years ago...
Will Metro police stand down again on November 7?
#17-You are exactly right! Include the attempted murder of Republicans playing baseball. By an “overzealous Democrat.” Pumped up on hate.
