Schumer: ‘There Is Too Much Political Correctness in This Country’
Washington Free Beacon ^ | October 19, 2018 | David Rutz

Posted on 10/20/2018 7:25:47 AM PDT by kevcol

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) said Friday there is too much "political correctness" in the United States these days, although he tagged both sides of the aisle as being to blame.
.
.
"I think there is too much political correctness in this country, but I think health care is far and away the dominant issue," Schumer said. "There's a lot of political correctness on both sides all the time, and it's not the biggest issue, not even close. Biggest issue with independents? Health care."

PC has empowered individuals and HR departments to destroy anyone they wish.

“Political Correctness is a doctrine recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end”.

Schumer’s such a jerk ... it’s ‘not the same’... not even a little. PC is a control tactic used by low IQ thugs on the left. Period.

A lot of issues could be fixed if the people didn’t directly vote for senators

The only blame Republicans get for PC is not fighting it more vigorously from the start.

So Chuckie blames both sides, hmm? I'll bet he does. I'll also bet he knows better. THIS POLL shows how unpopular it is and who the country knows perfectly well is to blame. And it isn't "both sides".

Chuckie is trying to sound moderate. It is election season and he knows that his party has a bad image with regular people.

He is trying to borrow from Trump.

Election-year theft of GOP/Conservative position.

He is, of course lying a typical deceitful Dem lie; and he and will revert to the making of PC laws, encouraging PC law suits, and appointment of PC-enforcing judges on Nov 7.

"...there are many over the age of 50 who were taught this, but have decided the ends justify any means for transforming the country to institute their leftist political system..."

What is seldom talked about, and surprisingly-(to me at least)-hasn't been visible, is that this is every bit as true of the right.

I would have suspected that long ago the right would have had enough of this left wing bullchit and reacted.

It is a credit to the right that they have controlled themselves, but I think that that is getting close to running out.

When the right has had its fill of this nonsense, the dam will break and it's going to be a bad day for the left.

Iterpretation: focus groups are telling him that people are fed up with political correctness. So for a couple of weeks he needs to drop a sound bite here and there that he thinks that too. After the election, that’s out the window.

Good point.

Perhaps one reason some on the right are doing this is that the legal and political rules have changed. For example, a conservative litigant asking courts to act with judicial restraint and not legislate from the bench is a losing hand, it doesn’t apply with decades of leftist activist precedence and most people graduating from law school are taught the leftist way. Even Justice Roberts’ couldn’t restrain himself on Obamacare, and had to concoct an imaginary interpretation to allow it to survive. Hence, many on the right will seek any means necessary to win.

My question is whether you think it is futile to try to return to the founding principles by playing under the “old rules” in a country where the present culture and public morality is not aligned with (and ignorant of) the Founders’ Constitution for limited and self-government?
