Blue State Blues: Democrats’ Mob Tactics May Be Working
Breitbart ^ | Joel Pollack

Posted on 10/20/2018 5:46:25 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

Last month, a few days after my six-year-old daughter started first grade, I was standing in the schoolyard, having just watched her walk off to her classroom, when I was accosted by another parent.

She told me that, given my conservative views, I should leave liberal California and move to Kansas, where I’d learn how they treat Jews like me.

I asked her if she thought she was being “tolerant.” She replied: “I am tolerant. I just hate you.”

I have hesitated to write about that incident until now, because I did not want to escalate the conflict. But in the past several weeks, it has become clear that conservatives around the country are having similar experiences.

*snip*

Scott Adams, the Dilbert cartoonist who has become a widely respected political pundit thanks to his understanding of methods of persuasion, often notes that fear is the most effective form of persuasion.

Trump has warned voters that Democrats are an “angry mob” — and voters seem to agree, pushing up Republicans’ poll numbers. But polls do not vote — and volunteers may be too afraid of the mob to do what is necessary to make sure Republican voters turn out on Election Day.

There is already anecdotal evidence from the field, where Republicans are reluctant to canvass their neighborhoods, or even put up yard signs, lest they face retaliation.

Democrats are an angry, unhinged mob, but one person’s single experience does not constitute a proof.

More of this crapola. Life is tough and liberals are vile spiteful people. Perhaps the writer will realize soon enough people like this women will be influencing his kids IN the school. Life is full of choices and this brand of whoe is me republican whining gets old after three or so decades. Suck it up buttercup.

I hate these mob mentality Demon-crats with an intensity that one should reserve for the Devil.

Well, they ARE children of the devil, so it’s understandable. 😁

I am increasingly convinced of the necessity of the Second Amendment. Genocide is typically preceded by extreme hatred, and I believe there are some on the left who would literally kill us if they could get away with it.

Count on it.

We were so busy worrying about the Soviets all those years that nobody paid much attention to Mao's Cultural Revolution. If we weren't armed, that is EXACTLY what would happen here.

They can get away with it in the liberal enclaves, but here in the hinterlands cops standing down for real assaults would quickly turn into perps disappearing.

You want to see a fight that would make the Kavanaugh kerfuffle look like a food fight? Watch what happens if Reciprocity starts looking likely.

None of her acquaintances from other social groups, or her church, have done one single thing to help her. Nobody from her church (very LIBERAL Catholics in this neck of the woods), or political/socials groups has called, or done one thing to help. (I know she has a clue because she’ll mention small things sometimes.)

Yet they think they’re good and nice people because they donate to charities. The charities are Emily’s List and Planned Parenthood, so ... Totally screwed up.

Man, that is one sh!tty way to discover you've wasted your life socializing for years with shallow people you thought were your bff's.

A few years ago I saw the Dead Sea Scrolls in kc guarded by Israeli security. They were crazy busy. Red area people are not the enemies of the Jewish people. That’s just ignorant. That comes primarily from the left and academia. Minimally from rare right wing groups. It’s accepted on campuses. Libs are so stupid it’s unbelirvable.

You are right, and that point should be made more often.

It won’t change the minds of the radicals, but it just might open the eyes and minds of people who lean left but haven’t put a lot of thought into thngs for themselves.

It’s been my observation over the years that most people don’t put up yard signs nor put bumper stickers on their vehicles. I never have, and I don’t have any fear of retaliation or any such thing.

“But polls do not vote — and volunteers may be too afraid of the mob to do what is necessary to make sure Republican voters turn out on Election Day.”

I think the blue mob is rubbing high information voters the wrong way. Anyone who is even moderately paying attention has to be more than ready to vote for the Republicans on Nov. 6, regardless of whether they are willing to knock on doors, make GOTV calls, or put signs on their lawns. Republicans and thinking Independents will turn out for Republicans of their own volition with no further prompting.

Here's something I see developing in hard core liberals now that they have gone full-on commie.

Their driving force--the thing that unifies them--is anger.

As a side note, healthy people deal with frustration by finding a constructive solution to whatever is causing the frustration. Absent the process of finding a constructive solution, such frustration will grow into anger. And like a flame that is fed with fuel, that anger, if it grows, will become rage.

As we saw in the Kavanaugh hearing, Liberals have no willingness to seek constructive solutions for their frustration. In fact, they are well beyond the point of seeking solutions.

They are angry.

That is why they are defined not by a platform or group of programs. They are defined by their hatred of Trump, of his "deplorable" supporters...they are angry at the country and all who support it.

This anger of those on the Left is being maintain--even fanned--by the media and their leadership. And because of the power of social media now, these angry ones are able to feed off each other and to organize.

I think we know that the public displays of anger (Antifa and others) are just the tip of the iceberg. Beneath the surface, there is a raging inferno. We can't see it but it is there just waiting for a leader to channel it.

We are in dangerous territory and I'm not sure what the solution is. I'm not sure there is a solution.

Again: It is a secret ballot.

Yes, it is. For now. I wonder how long it will be before the Dems try to change that?

It is not about polls or yard signs. The early voting and absentee voting DATA numbers all show republicans are voting in larger numbers than in 2016

The woman who said that has probably never been to Kansas in her life.

“Kansas” was likely the first state name in flyover country to pop into her mind. In her mind, any place not California is an unspeakable backwater, filled with ignorant peasants. She wasn’t just talking about Kansas, she was talking about every state outside of the wonderful enlightened fairy tale land of California (well, except maybe for New York and Massachusetts).

If I were given the choice to move to either California or Kansas, I’d choose Kansas in an instant!

absolutely.

The chastening will split the democrats between the go along to get along democrats and the radicals who want violence.

In effect what we’ll have is the inverse of the first two years of the Trump presidency in which the never trump establishment sided with democrats against the Trump voters.

The Kavenaugh hearing united the never trumpers and the establishment republicans with the trump republicans. The elections in a couple weeks will pull the establishment go along to get along democrats onto the trump train. That leaves the violent liberals without air-cover. They will be isolated. But as they become more politically impotent—they will likely become more violent.
