Pelosi was being interviewed onstage by Paul Krugman, the left-wing New York Times columnist and Nobel economic laureate who predicted, the day Donald Trump won the presidency, that Trump would trigger “a global recession, with no end in sight.”
In a long, rambling monologue, during which she stumbled on her words and appeared to lose her train of thought, Pelosi said:
We have to have total clarity about what we do, when it comes to everything — a woman’s right to choose, gay marriage … whether it’s about immigration, whether it’s about gun safety, whether it’s about climate … I think that we owe the American people to be there for them, for their financial security, respecting the dignity and worth of every person in our country, and if there’s some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, well, so be it, but it shouldn’t be our original purpose.”
There is an old saw about never interfering when the enemy is making a strategic error. Attacking folks in restaurants, convicting them of sex crimes without evidence or benefit of due process - these things have destroyed the dems in the public eye.
The dems ceded us the moral high ground. We should take it an hold it.
We don't need to match them tit for tat and prove we are as bad as they are. Charge them with the crimes they have committed, arrest them and prosecute them. That is not giving in.

When I first started watching the video, I was happy to see Pelosi get some of her own treatment back at her, but when the totally unnecessary F-bombs started to rain down — they lost me.

I agree. Are we to become them? I made my same thoughts directly to Laura Loomer when she did that stunt in Congress when Jack-ass (Twit-boss) was before a Committee, the same week the idiots were doing their thing before the Kavanaugh hearing.
If we want to convince the people on the sidelines we are better than that, we had better give them that first impression because it never comes again.
Are we sure this ws not staged so she could go back stammering along about “collateral damage” and use this as a justification?
