“My father once told me the more features(bells and whistles)the more things to go wrong. This goes with any manufactured product.”

That is very wise of your father. :)

Actually, the only US brand that is supposed to be good is Speed Queen. But that depends on which year. I have not tested this theory yet.

As for Bosh... might be difficult to repair, but if you never have to repair it than it will never be an issue.

Also, the Bosh is designed like a Panzer tank — few bells and whistle but reliable. Instead of a grinder at the bottom, it has a filter that has to be cleaned every week. My wife hates that but accepts it because it hasn’t broken down on us yet. Cross my fingers.

I have multiple Bosch power tools. They make the absolutely best hand held jig saw made. I have friends who also have their appliances and love them like you.

My only point about appliances was that I was also trying to buy American which, as you know, is increasingly difficult. For example, try buying a faucet actually made in the USA. Delta is the only one to my knowledge. I have replaced all of the bath and Kitchen faucets in my 1972 home. I have has very good luck with Grohe. The are made in Germany. All other brands seem to be made in China or Mexico.
