I have multiple Bosch power tools. They make the absolutely best hand held jig saw made. I have friends who also have their appliances and love them like you.
My only point about appliances was that I was also trying to buy American which, as you know, is increasingly difficult. For example, try buying a faucet actually made in the USA. Delta is the only one to my knowledge. I have replaced all of the bath and Kitchen faucets in my 1972 home. I have has very good luck with Grohe. The are made in Germany. All other brands seem to be made in China or Mexico.
Plus, the “American made” manufacturers knowingly cut corners to make more money. And heck, if the consumer has to buy a $1000 appliance every 5 years, that's just fine with them — they sell more appliances that way. Planned obsolescence.
It bothers me too that they wave the American flag with one hand while they are picking your pocket with the other. And that stupid Maytag advertisement? I growl every time I see it.
