That was the hardest thing to read.

And probably not worth it.

Ask my sister

Or men might just decide that it’s just too much trouble, and too risky to deal with women at all.

"...“I yelled at my husband last night. Not pick-up-your-socks yell. Not how-could-you-ignore-that-red-light yell. This was real yelling. This was 30 minutes of from-the-gut yelling. Triggered by a small, thoughtless, dismissive, annoyed, patronizing comment. Really small. A micro-wave that triggered a hurricane. I blew. Hard and fast. And it terrified me. I’m still terrified by what I felt and what I said. I am almost 70 years old. I am a grandmother. Yet in that roiling moment, screaming at my husband as if he represented every clueless male on the planet (and I every angry woman of 2018), I announced that I hate all men and wish all men were dead...”

I was going to say something like "If I were her husband..." but then I thought of the famous words of Winston Churchill:

SHREWISH MATRON: If I had you for a husband, I'd poison your tea!

WINSTON CHURCHILL: If I had you for a wife, I'd drink it!

Excellent article. Thanks.

“Whether you look at the biblical design for families, or just take history and research, the results are clear: two-parent families, male and female, are the best for raising children.”

Writing tip: Could have used this in the intro...

‘He sat, hunched and hurt, and he listened.’

this is why he has a loudmouth bitch for a wife; I would have listened to her, nodded my head and said ‘okay, I guess; by the way, grab me a beer when you go into the kitchen...

"Triggered by a small, thoughtless, dismissive, annoyed, patronizing comment. Really small."

I want to know what his comment was, without having to go to the WAcrapheap to read it.

“My husband of 50 years did not have to stifle a laugh. He took it dead seriously

There's the problem. Some things deserve only howls of derisive laughter.

And on the subject at hand, it is ridiculous to blame an entire group on the misdeeds of the few. There are cruel, harsh women, too. Horrible mothers, sisters, wives, etc. No gender has exclusive rights to devil horns or angel halos.

It is not all men’s fault for Weinstein and Cosby. It is not all women’s fault for this nasty professor or the ones who lie about being assaulted.

Every day for 26 years I play with small kids. Some are boys and some are girls. Each is precious. Nothing about goodness or kindness is built in. As adults, men and women have free will and kindness is always one of the options.

There was nothing stopping the following scenarios from happening, except for the individuals choosing not to be considerate of their fellow human beings:

“I’m glad you are going to be in my movie. You are beautiful and so talented, and this is a great break for you. If only I were a dashing and handsome producer, I might stand a chance of you going out for a drink with me. Sadly, I was born with these looks. But if you ever want some friendly company, I’m here for you.” - Good Harvey

“We’ve been going out for two weeks, ever since I separated from Camille. There’s something I want to tell you before we ever go too far. This is going to be hard for me to say, because I’ve never told anyone. I, uh, have this really weird sexual kink, uh, I don’t know if you are going to understand, but if you are going to go out with me, maybe you could find it in your heart if we played around with it a little, if not, that is ok too. Here is a NDA...’ - Good Bill

“I feel funny even talking about this. I know Brett was at some of these parties, and there was one party where someone, maybe it was him, not 100% sure, jumped on top of me and groped me, and it scared me to death because I was so young. I’m sorry, but it was so long ago, we were so young, alcohol was involved, and I just don’t know exactly who it was, so it’s nothing that should stop anyone from being appointed to the highest court of the land. But I thought maybe it was information people should have.” - Good Christine

Just read the first sentence and last paragraph. Everything in between is just fluff.

Yes, in a perfect world, a fair-minded mother and father who are experts at raising kids would be best. Unfortunately we don’t live in that perfect world. Lots of gray area in all that parenting stuff.

I do agree boys need some kind of physical activity to use up their pent up energy and maybe frustrations. I’ve long believed this is how sports got started.

Girls too need some kind of activity to direct their energy and keep their hands and minds busy. A combination of things would even be better such as sports, some kind of skill building exercise, and of course schoolwork/homework. More girls than boys seem to be better at academics. Maybe the girls aren’t so easily distracted or naturally know how to focus better.

Feminists hold two opposing viewpoints. On the one hand, they claim women can do anything men can, including being Navy Seals or combat Marines. On the other hand, they instantly demand men stop picking on the girl whenever they are opposed.
Conservatives know that men should respect women and that women are not as strong as men, but feminists won’t have it. They are schizo.
