Her defenders are constantly harping on the talking point that she never used it to get ahead.
So why claim it in the first place? It doesn’t have to be an official government quota for you to feel like you can get some cache by claiming minority status.
When confronted with the fact that she was described as a “minority” back then, an in-the-tank liberal arguing with me yesterday actually claimed “minority” meant “woman”. lol
But this evidence clearly shows she (and Fordham) considered and described her as “...of color” (which obviously doesn’t refer to being female).
