A former security director for the Senate Intelligence Committee (James Wolfe) has pleaded guilty to one count of giving a false statement to FBI agents looking into leaks of national security information to several reporters, the Justice Department announced Monday. ...Wolfe had been scheduled to appear for a routine status hearing, before prosecutors announced that "substantial" negotiations had produced a guilty plea.

Thanks! Very much for the thoughtful ping. I don’t get it. Entered the offense from Team Trump? Sessions of long gone now...

Investigators/Prosecutors could have a lot ready to drop by now, given the lead times. The next few weeks would be a good time, given the election and all.

The idea that Wolfe was cooperating might have been playable when you posted Oct.15

Two months later it seems like wishful thinking. Wolfe was given a slap-on-the-wrist to protect corrupt deep state operations, possible some Senators among them.

I predict zero jail time! Maybe some probation and the conviction disappears after one year of good behavior.

“The idea that Wolfe was cooperating... Two months later it seems like wishful thinking.”

I guess so. Disappointed again.

Even worse, my hopes for a big roll up of wrongdoers by “Silent Executioner” Jeff Sessions seems to be a lost cause.

A real gut punch of a disappointment. The Country needs to roll back the corrupt rot. We need a real house cleaning.

As long as we live, there is hope.

Thanks for another look at how crooked and slimy the Democrats in power in DC are and have been.
