Assassinating someone in their consulate would have been bone crushingly stupid. I think they planned to grab him, probably drug him, and smuggle him back to Saudi Arabia where they could put him on ice for a while.

Exactly. It could very well have occurred during an interrogation. He could have had a heart attack due to the stress. Or they may have drugged him and he died from the complication of the drug. Lots of possibilities.

The very fact that this story is being promoted by the Turks and our leftist media, makes me think it is aimed primarily at embarrassing Trump or impeding policy. So, who knows which details are true?

As far as I'm concerned if something had happened to Kashoggi in a more discreet fashion, it wouldn't be any of our business--he seems to have been a pro-Muslim Brotherhood Islamist, and I have no love for them.
