Cut out the middleman. Make every family take in one homeless person.

Tax them so much that they become homeless.

Our homelessness spending has increased dramatically in recent years with no discernible improvement in conditions. Before we double the tax bill overnight, San Franciscans deserve accountability for the money they are already paying.

...

Wow. London is going to have to give up her Rat card for talking like that.

Exactly ... they are spending the money paying people to clean up crap! ... Not rounding them up and sending them away.

Why dont they just build condos with the money and give the homeless a home ... that will get rid of them < / sarc>

It shows what destructive morons are running San Freakcisco. More tax-payer funded destruction???

It shows what Californians will get for a governor if they vote in Gavin Newsom, the RAT candidate. He supports this insane tax-robbing liberalism and DemocRAT stupidity that bites the hand that feeds it.

Yep, I’m.shocked too. A SF mayor is not backing a tax increase to deal with some social problem?

FTA: One of the reasons Seattle’s City Council rescinded the head-tax so quickly is that a majority of city residents didn’t believe the money would be spent wisely.

Wrong!

The reason Seattle’s City Council rescinded the head-tax is Starbucks and Amazon threatened to leave.

Proposition C does not audit the money the City already spends. It does not include a detailed spending plan for the $300M in taxes it seeks to add, nor regular audits of that money, nor adequate public oversight over how it’s spent.

Shun the heretic! Socialism doesn't work if the ruling class can't take its cut off the top.

You do have to wonder, though - $380 million and there's still poop in the streets? Just where did all that money go, anyway?
