I’m not convinced the facts are on the table. I don’t trust Turkey any more than I trust Saudi, which is not at all.
“What difference does it make?” /s
Many of the Arabs working for State are MB. The deep state is tight with the MB. That is why K was working for WPo. The new Prince is trying to modernize SA and K was giving him troubles. Now the Prince has put Trump in a bad spot.
Agreed.
I can’t help wonder if this “reporter” was a CIA operative in light of the cozy relationship between Bezos/Washington Post and the CIA.
IMO, the KSA holds the cards given the US dependence on their position with the petro-dollar.
If the kingdom dumped the petro-dollar there would be a collective squealing unparalleled in history.
“....anti-American, anti-Israel, anti-Jew, anti-Christian and anti-freedom.”
You got those right, and add one other....anti-king. The only thing done wrong here is that they did it in some official embassy and were stupid not to really clean their trail. The Russians would have arranged this to be a heart attack in the hotel bed, or some car accident. Those clumsy effort? They must have chosen some burger-flippers or just chauffeurs.
How does an apple wat ctransmit files to an apple phone over a long distance? Blue tooth is very short range.
Nope;

Exactly, read teh links in post 47
A LOT of people aren’t keeping up with what’s going in in the ME since the election. They are stuck in the past.
Smart move by Khasshogi. He obviously new he might be in trouble, and he protected himself with some simple technology.
If the Saudis are not responsible, they could easily release video of Khasshogi walking out of the embassy.
I don’t have a watch, but I thought an apple watch needed to be in close proximity to a paired phone in order to access cell service?
What exactly is the role of the United States in all this?
Why do we care?
This would explain our keen interest... He may have worked for us.
The question about the phone range is answered here... The series three smart phone is GPS and Cell capable and can be paired with a phone for a long range connection.

there is no body, no corpse.
Good question. Personally, I could care less.
But, I’d still like to know if the reporting that his watch was in sync with his phone in his girlfriend’s possession really could upload data to it as the story indicates.
The Turkish claims are BS. While it may be true that the Saudis killed a Saudi jihadist who supported jihad through his urinalistic endeavors, the Turkish tale is complete and utter BS. It’s just as likely that the Turks killed the creep and immediately after his disappearance launched their PR offensive.

Doesn’t make it false, either, if all sides have ulterior motives. And it is the US’ business. If the US is to treat with the Saudis, or Russia, it is highly relevant to that relationship if they are disappearing journalists or poisoning defectors. I wouldn’t dismiss the story out of hand, or accept it at face value. Since the source is an Al Qaeda-connected one, it’s entirely possible that AlQaeda or some other MB franchise did it in order to erect a false flag and thereby throw a wrench into the US-KSA relationship.
So the moral of the story is, chop up journalists’ flesh and viscera really small, and serve them at the local Chinese fast food joint. Grind the bones up and incinerate the rest. That way, there will be no body.
