these things use known frequencies, how hard is it to highpower them from wall mounted units and burn out their receivers?

Is there not a device that can block or take over control of a drone?

A clear and present danger calls for military intervention.

A scaled down Phalanx that shoots thousands of BB’s or small ball bearings should do the job.

If we had a wall we could have technology to disrupt RF communications above it

We have our own drones, and the capability of zeroing in and making certain folks have a real bad day...

Directional antennae with frequency band sweep-jamming.
Or, come up with shoulder fired “jamming” guns, make them lose control of the drones; send engine cut off signals and make them crash in a controlled area.

Seems like a great opportunity for target practice.

Drones can go as fast as 125mph and fly as high as 10000ft. Shotguns will be ineffective, and those are just commercially available hobby platforms, it could get a lot worse if some smart dedicated enthusiasts got involved. Did you ever see the story of the guy that made a jet powered pre-programmed “cruise missile” (it was shaped like a cruise missile, but wasn’t in fact a missile at all, just a, autonomous jet aircraft). We need to think ahead to plan for these attacks, and shotguns aren’t going to do it.

RC sailboat racers have to put flags on their transmitter control box antennas to identify what radio channel they are using so as not to interfere with another racer using the same channel.
One would think border patrol could install stations along the border that would send signals out that would jam the RC channels being used by the cartels......
