If it was all about slavery why did two “slave states” fight for the north!!!! Why was Lincolns first choice to lead his army a slave holder,why did his second choice defend slavery and why was his final choie a slave holder!!! Why did he give a speech saying if he could keep the union together he would accept slavery!!!

They didn't have to fight to preserve that. That was the law in the Union. Staying in the Union would have preserved it.

No argument. Not defending slavery.

But I’m sick and tired of the Left erasing our history. So if they’re raging about something, I’ll automatically take the opposing view.

And there is no question about Lee and company’s military prowess. They made HOW many Union generals look like chumps before we got to Grant, Sherman, et al???

Facts are stubborn things.
