"Majority" of Catholics call for change on LGBT issues
Irish Independent ^ | 11th October 2018 | Sarah MacDonald

A majority of Catholics want the Church to reconsider its teaching on LGBT issues, a new poll launched in Rome yesterday has revealed.

A total of 9,606 people were surveyed across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, United States, Philippines, France, Italy and Spain for the poll, representing half of the world's Catholic population.

The survey was carried out by Yougov on behalf of Equal Future 2018, a coalition of LGBT, progressive Catholic religious, children and young peoples' groups.

Campaign director Tiernan Brady, who led the marriage equality campaign in Ireland in 2015, launched the findings in Rome. He described the survey findings as "a clarion call to the hierarchy of the Catholic Church from its members that it is time to change their approach to LGBT people" which is "damaging to children and young people".

Highlighting how ordinary people in the pews "are leading the way on LGBT issues", he said it was "time the upper management caught up with their flock".

That’s a critical question; also, if they ask 10 “divorced-and-remarried-outside-the-Church” Catholics, they could probably get 80% approval for “gay marriage”.

They polluted the pews in the Episcopal Church...and I left. The Catholics better wise up soon to the RC will also die from the LGBT cancer. I’m finding it an uncomfortable, dangerously familiar situation. I had hoped the RC would be a haven for me, not another home for queers. Maybe time to move away from any organized religion.

Might as well, the bible isn’t considered in most RCC “traditions”.

They didn’t pollute the pews of our local Episcopal Church, they polluted the hierarchy. They began seeping into the church in the 60’s and 70’s and volunteering to serve on committees and commissions. Then since they were always available while straights had to support their families and golf clubs, they slowly took over leadership positions while the average pew sitter had no idea what was happening until it was too late. This happened in other denominations as well - also schools and government. Locally, they continue worshiping as they always had and don’t pay any attention to all the propaganda from the bishops. When he or she makes the annual visit, they smile, shake hands, feed em and then continue their old ways. Many families have been there for generations and the grave yard out back testifies to that.

A minuscule sampling, and that's being generous, of the the 1.2 billion Roman Catholics(and I don't know if that number excludes the Greek Orthodox, and a no doubt highly biased sampling or poll, does not speak for the "Majority" of Catholics no matter how the perverts and socialists twist it.

But then neither does Pope Socialista and much of today's Church Hierarchy.
