They say “200 pound bomb” but what does that mean? 200 pounds of black powder (which is a LOT of black powder), 100 pounds of container? It’s one of those impressive numbers the media likes to get hold of and throw around, but what does it mean?

TATP would be a good guess. It’s a favorite with terrorists, ingredients are easy to get, and it’s easy to make.

It’s also a high explosive and hard to detect.

A 180 lbs of sugar, 20 lbs of kicker charge and two flares would make one hell of a bang.
