They’ll keep drinking the Democrat Kool-Aid. Just as they have for seven or eight decades.

The author is beyond deluded hopeful. The media has long ago made their choice to throw in with the forces of darkness and willing to destroy their country in the process.

The division of society is an industry that employs many.

I shop at Free Republic. One of the only sites that doesn’t put making money as it’s priority.

Thank you FR

Just an observation since I have been watching the local stations more often now that we cut the cable....

I think that the MSM (re: local TV stations) are blatantly biased but also a bit ignorant of the issues. They will cover stories that sounds and feels good but are useless to the informed and educated person.

So this means that the local stations regurgitate whatever is on the national news — garbage in garbage out — with no thought at all and the average brain dead viewer will never know the difference.

OTOH, the national news stations have an agenda and it is driven by their ideologies.

“It is time for the media to be responsible”

It seems to me the MSM has the same goal that most universities and el/hi schools have. Slowly, over the years, the Progressive took over and now all they do is engage in propaganda to further their goal. A global government. Method: Destroy our history and tradition and the make the Constitution a “living document” (Gee, I wonder what party wants to do that?).

How do you make moral decisions when you are thoroughly and completely amoral?

Never happen. The legacy media is no longer in the news reporting business. They have decided some time ago to be unabashed Left Wing Activists with a microphone and a camera and perhaps a barrel of ink.

The only solution is more balance, which means more Right leaning “news” outlets.

The MSM Press, are no longer journalists, they are enemy combatants. Literally.

It ain’t politics we’re divided over, it’s ideology, culture, philosophy. We’re 180° apart.

But the media thinks it has made the "moral" virtuous decision.

And decades ago, I might add.

Replace the words “legacy media” with “Democrats” in this article and then you will see that there is no choice here. They are one and the same. One is an arm of the other.

What percentage of rank and file democrat voters are ok with the MSM and the resist movement?

Are there any reasonable rank and file democrats remaining?

"The legacy media is no longer in the news reporting business."

I think it was Tom Brokaw, years ago, who stated that his job is not just to report the news but to report to us how we should think about the news he reports.

They long ago adopted the Social Activist theory of journalism which states that it’s a journalist’s JOB to go out and change society.

They believe it because that’s how its been taught for decades.

The MSM made their decisions decades ago. The security and well-being of this country has not been in their best interests for quite some time.

yep, repoting facts is beneath them, they want to change the world i.e. prosecute Republicans and hound them from office.

_________

Yes.

In journalism, the “Five ‘W’s” are “Who,” “What,” “When,” “Where,” and “Why.”

That teaching is seemingly long gone.

That's about it. A very, very dark picture that is.

I'm just glad that OANN is on my cable. It's amazing how their news perspective is quite close to ideals professed here.
