Ok, so can you then take the diluted ethanol/water mixture and distill it down to say like 150-175 proof to use for more conventional alcohol burning devices?

Yes, you should be able to do that.

I don't know if you could strip out the residual gasoline.

Gasoline has an initial boiling point at atmospheric pressure of about 35 °C (95 °F) and a final boiling point of about 200 °C (395 °F).

I don't think I'd drink it.
