Suspended Animation in the Age of Trump [TDS]
The Atlantic ^ | Oct 8, 2018 | Franklin Foer

Posted on 10/09/2018 6:36:20 AM PDT by Prolixus

For at least the past two years, Americans have lived in an extended state of suspense about what could be the most nefarious scandal in the nation’s political history. Evidence has piled up suggesting that the Trump campaign teamed with the Russian state in pursuit of electoral victory. Some of this evidence is circumstantial and hardly conclusive; some of it is pretty damn concrete.

The hard evidence, alas, reveals more about the motives of the central characters than the shape of the narrative. There’s hard-and-fast proof that Trump’s innermost circle was more than willing to work with the Russians. And there’s hard-and fast-proof that the Russians wanted to sway the American electorate on Trump’s behalf. Each of these is an incredible fact; each is a historic scandal unto itself. And each of these fact patterns suggests, but only suggests, that these two parties likely met in the middle to conspire. But what really happened there? Is there a crime at the center of the narrative? After two years, those of us not working for Robert Mueller are not that much closer to knowing the answer—and, given the implications, it’s almost physically painful to live with the unfilled holes in the plot. ...

"The Atlantic" must be excerpted.

In summary:

  1. A server related to the Trump campaign had a network connection with a server in Russia.
  2. Trump won in 2016.
  3. Somehow this server connection changed the electoral college results.

How could this foolishness get published? Does "The Atlantic" not respect its readers?

Hillary's loss can be summed up in one word "deplorables." Did Trump or the Russians tell her to coin that usage?

Btw, I wonder if Hillary's campaign had any "servers?" If it did, did any of those servers ever have a network connection to Russia?

“Evidence has piled up suggesting that the Trump campaign teamed with the Russian state in pursuit of electoral victory.”

Talk about the “big lie” technique!

IDIOTS!

It's going to be sooo sweet when TRUMP demolishes his Democratic opponent in The General!

Russia probably gave TRUMP .001% HELP in 2016

Evidence has piled up

Well, something has piled up, that's for sure. Personally, I didn't think they could stack chit that high.

Suspended animation, eh? Still living on another planet, so to speak?

OK, take lots of sleeping pills with lots of booze. Get blitzed out of what’s left of your minds. Sleep it off, and I will wake you when it’s over.

Meanwhile, STFU.

I will see your one word and raise you two words (that got Trump elected): "Crooked Hillary!"

I keep hearing Russia, Russia, Russia - but as usual no proof of collusion.

In two years of searching, Mueller and his band of 17 Angry Democrats haven’t found it.

I guess after the Kavanaugh debacle, the Democrats would be back to their old staple.

And they have zip, zero, zilch and nada when all is said and done.

The FISA warrants where Obama and Hillary weaponized America's intelligence and law enforcement services against an opposition candidate? Watergate was less than a tenth of that. No? Oh, just a rehash of some Russian Facebook ads again.

Its ‘piled up’ you say...lol. It must be nice to be a “journalist” and be able to write fiction and have people believe its true.

I am certain Hillerys unsecured email server had many connections to Russia, China, North Korea and any enemy nation with even half Assed hacker groups. Unlike Trumps business server it did not hold business plans but diplomatic, intellegence, military and state secrets.

Trump is a business man, Hillery is a Traitor.

Notice how the Left now defines “evidence” as any hysteric infantile accusation they dare to dream up?

“Suspended Animation in the Age of Trump [TDS]”

Actually it seems the Lame Street Media is in suspended animation. They still think Hillary won.

“”some of it is pretty damn concrete.””

Like what for instance? Does the word “specifics” mean anything to these loons and if it does, do they know the meaning of it? I am so sick and tired of everyone claiming they have evidence and then piling on words without anything except generalities. “Well, he said in this tweet” blah blah blah… Or especially cute is citing an article in the NY Times or Washington Post as EVIDENCE of ANYTHING other than something was printed in the paper.

Franklin Foer stepped down as editor of The New Republic for running unproven allegations from a soldier (Scott Beauchamp) in Iraq and waiting months to retract them.

Amazing how the left blithely keeps using proven liars. Witness Foer and Goodwin, the proven plagiarist ‘historian’.
