The baseline budget for the wall seems to be $1.6 billion per year, but there are serious, well justified proposals to use $5 billion for specific additional miles of barrier, and an impressive technology program addition. Studies have been done and accepted by Congress, and the early wall contracting efforts have been well done. They are ready on all fronts to ramp up the pace of construction.

Ted Cruz suggested POTUSDJT allocate money recovered from drug stings to build the wall. I’m not sure that’s feasible, but it should be. Maybe someone could comment on this?
