Yeah, because Russia preferred President Trump over President Uranium One.

“Yeah, because Russia preferred President Trump over President Uranium One.”

Not just President Uranium One, but the person who would have continued to over-regulate our energy industry and would NEVER have bolstered our defenses. Those last 2 things are the opposite of what Trump promises and, just as importantly, the opposite of what President Reagan DID (the energy bit in conjunction with the Saudis) to bankrupt the USSR. Does anyone think that perhaps, just perhaps, old Vlad might just remember how his beloved USSR was unceremoniously shitcanned, errrr, tossed onto the trash heap of History by Reagan? I’m going with “he remembers, every single day, multiple times” - and that he is incredibly cognizant of the fact that Russia is exactly as dependent on sales of oil and natural gas to generate foreign currency earnings now as the USSR was 35 years ago.

So, if Vladimir Putin is both a patriot and intelligent (and I am quite sure that no thinking person believes otherwise), then why on God’s green Earth would he have EVER wanted Trump to be President...esp. vs. someone whom he could easily blackmail with that juicy, thick Uranium One file that undoubtedly sits in the safe in his office?

The whole “The Russians tilted the election to Trump” idea doesn’t even come close to passing the smell test, unless you’re hoping for the smell of freshly-killed skunk.
