If they would have treated him nicely and respectively knowing that he was going to be confirmed then at least he might have actually consider their stupid arguments when he got on the court. The Democrats have a big problem on their hands. Young, angry SJWs straight out of college with degrees in grievance studies are taking over the party and turning it into the Khmer Rouge. They're rigid, militant, and dogmatic and don't believe in treating anyone from the Republican Party nicely.

It may not directly affect his rulings, I suspect he will lean over backwards to give the appearance of impartiality, and will, in fact, rule impartially. The long term effect on his mindset will be salutatory. Treated as a pariah by fashionable Washington society, it will be much easier for him to resist the all too common tendency to go native and go along with trends of the moment.
