Taylor Swift has broken her long-held public political silence in an Instagram post encouraging her followers to vote in the November midterm elections and slamming Republican Tennessee representative Marsha Blackburn.
“In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” Swift began the post, which was accompanied by a moody, black-and-white photo of the superstar.
“I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country,” she wrote. “I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG. I believe that the systemic racism we still see in this country towards people of color is terrifying, sickening and prevalent.”
“I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love,” the post continues.

Swift is a New Yorker. She was raised a little rich girl and her parents moved to Tennessee to help her get a music contract. Her father worked for Merrill Lynch. There is nothing Tennessee or country about her. There is a story about her growing up on a Christmas Tree farm. Not really true. Her father bought a large piece of property that he rented out to a Christmas Tree grower for tax purposes. While swift live in a house on part of the land. The trees were grown on another part by someone else. Her father got the property tax write-off.
She chose unwisely. Thump curse in 3...2...1... Bye, bye.
She didn’t find herself a Chaz Bono or Rosie O’Donnell type?
Miss Taylor’s definition of human rights is “SLAVERY” to the state. Also known as communism.
It’s not a coincidence she came out after Kanye started backing Trump. She’s made her hundred million and now has called her shot. Enjoy the 1500 seat halls.
