The battle for Senate control finds Democrats trying to mount upset challenges in a string of typically Republican states, and this round of Battleground Tracker polls shows them having at best mixed results so far. In the closely watched race in Texas, incumbent Republican Ted Cruz has a lead over Democratic challenger Beto O'Rourke, at six points among likely voters, 50-44.
In Arizona an open seat in a state that went for President Trump in 2016 Democrat Kyrsten Sinema has a slight edge over Republican Martha McSally, 47-44.
Tennessee finds Republican Marsha Blackburn with an eight-point lead over Democrat Phil Bredesen, 50-42. Bredesen is a former governor who, having won statewide office before, has given Democrats hope of flipping a red state that Mr. Trump won easily.
Typically blue New Jersey finds Republicans trying to mount an upset of their own against incumbent Democrat Bob Menendez, but Menendez has a sizable 49-39 advantage over Republican challenger Bob Hugin.

Not worth much. I’d imagine more attempts by them to drive down voter participation on our side in those states.
The Arizona polling is disappointing. Does Trump have a rally scheduled there?
The “battleground” poll is done by a GOPe group that’s funded by demonrats. It was worthless in 2016 and still is now.
Note that both Cruz and Blackburn are in the 50s. Neither of the Democrats is.
When an incumbent (or incumbent party candidate) is below 50 percent this close to an election, that incumbent is vulnerable.
Thanks for the heads up .
You should check out Florida Guy on twitter, his polling shows McSally leading in AZ
“The Arizona polling is disappointing.”
Haven’t you learned you lesson after 2016 on polls??
I’m used to these polls. If you see any pollster using Harris Poll X or Battleground Tracker or PPP, they’re all Dem-affiliated polling groups. Even Survey Monkey.
Arizona is what happens wehn you nominate McCain-style RINOs.
McSally’s ads in AZ suck. I’m 100% going to vote for her, but it will be in spite of her and in spite of her ads.
Never trust CBS.
I believe that we have more October surprises coming in favor of the republican side. Declassification on those FISA documents soon?
Not much. SEE-BS poll.
Other polls show Hugin and Menendez is a dead heat. Ditto McSally in Arizona.
Arizona needs to stay Republican. Flake voted the right way Saturday but mostly was worthless.
Didnt they say Clinton would win AZ? Look how that turned out.
Yeah, I see BS! Fake butts and all.
Recent polls show the AZ governor with a 12-15 point lead. McSally steady at 3 down. If the vote was held today, I’d give McSally a 2/3 chance of a narrow victory - just gut feeling.

A bitter primary didn’t help. I talked to some people who plan to vote FOR her at church today. They think her ads need an overhaul. I’ve heard the same darn one on radio since the primary finished.
A Rat is never gonna win AZ and a Republican is never gonna win NJ.
You can take that to the bank.
Yep. right after she took TX, GA and FL.
