Sure there is one paragraph for ya.

Rosmann says that several members of the House and Senate – most of them Republicans – “were disingenuous”. In an email, Rosmann wrote, “They promised support to my face and to others who approached them to support the FRSAN, but when it came time to vote … they did not support appropriating money … Often they claimed it was an unnecessary expenditure which would increase the national debt, while also saying healthy farmers are the most important asset to agricultural production.”

back when: we were in DC to line up our supreme court case (WA v. Passenger Vessel 1979) and one congress critter was honest enough to tell us, after we explained our case and why his help was needed, that we were very justified and he would like to help, but, he said, you guys are only a few thousand votes ... helping us would be just a waste of his time when there were so many other pressing issues.

Same for farmers and loggers who all faced the same issues: extreme laws and regulations, feel-good environmentalism, and an out-of-touch-with-nature public . We are just Natural Resource Harvesters in the way of more important things like property values, sport fishermen, the environment, and so on. That’s why food today is grown and packaged in grocery stores (or at Amazon). Eat more petroleum, plastic, chemicals, food dye, and antibiotics - what delicious food is made from ...
