No kidding.
I’m quite happy to have voted for this man.
Looks like the Democrat's October surprise is backfiring on them.
You may enjoy reading what H. L. Mencken wrote about how the enlightened Majority can wield power over the mob.
H. L. Mencken Predicted Donald Trump, the Enlightened Rabble-Rouser
LOL!! Perfect!
I almost fell off the sofa when he said that at the rally last night another brilliant tagline for our wonderful president
As I continuously say “he is a guy from Queens”. At the end of the day he is a loyal friend, a true patriot and a hell of a guy...the guy you’d want in the Foxhole
The beauty and wonder of the wisdom of America's Founders is in their ability to perceive "tyranny" in the words and actions of others, as is illustrated by the words of Edmund Burke (as used in another of my posts yesterday):
"In other countries, the people, more simple, and of a less mercurial cast, judge of an ill principle in government only by an actual grievance; here they anticipate the evil, and judge of the pressure of the grievance by the badness of the principle. They augur misgovernment at a distance, and snuff the approach of tyranny in every tainted breeze." - Edmund Burke, Speech on Conciliation

Now heeding Emerson's lesson "a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds", I revised Burke's words somewhat to make them (hopefully) more powerful to modern ears:
But Americans anticipate the evil of bad government by recognizing the malignant principle behind the stupid decision.
Thus they portend government corruption and snuff out the flames in the kindling before they turn into a wildfire. Their noses sniff the approach of tyranny in every tainted breeze."
Great quote...
Thanks! That was well worth the read. When I read anything from Mencken, Chesterton, CS Lewis, Sir Edmund Burke, George Washington, it makes me realize how crass and poorly educated todays rulers are in comparison. It seems the more formal education expands, the more the quality of education declines.
Great, glad you liked reading that great one by Mencken.
BTW, I listened to the Kansas rally today, and you’re right: it was stupendous. Trump was in high form — so funny and dead on with his attacks of the left.
Deplorables have a hard time keeping up with our great leader. Glad to hear he also praised Lindsey Graham, O’Connell, and Grassley.
He skewered “Da Nang Dick” big time. Spent 3 or 4 minutes attacking Blumenthal. It was hilarious and the crowd was with him the whole time.
