By a razor-thin margin, the U.S. Senate today confirmed Brett Kavanaugh to serve as an associate justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings ended with gripping testimony from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who shared under oath heart-wrenching and vivid memories of her sexual assault at the hands of Kavanaugh when they were high school students.
The following is a statement that can be attributed to NEA President Lily Eskelsen García:
“From the outset, it was clear that Judge Kavanaugh would not be the fair-minded jurist needed on the Supreme Court. The Senate confirmation process has only further demonstrated that he lacks the qualifications and temperament to hold one of the most powerful positions in our government. Judge Kavanaugh is simply unfit to serve on the highest court of the land. We must now hope that he can find the impartiality and necessary disposition needed to serve the nation as a Supreme Court justice.”
“The message sent by Senate Republicans to the nation, and in particular to our children, was loud and clear: It is acceptable to appoint a hyper-partisan justice who is beholden to the White House. It is acceptable to disregard the stories of sexual assault survivors. It is acceptable to disregard dishonesty under oath. Well, educators know that these things are never acceptable. There is only one thing left to do for those of us who share disappointment in this moment: vote.”

The NEA is unfit to have any roll representing “education” in the United States. It has aided, abetted and participated in the constant politicization of K-12 education and helped the Left turn our schools into Leftist political indoctrination mills.
Parents across the country should either home school their K-12 age kids (and even organize to do it with like-minded parents), or get them in private school and demand all taxpayer funds for K-12 education be distributed in vouchers for parents to hand over to ANY K-12 school of their choosing.

As I said, I always hated when I had to go to the teachers union (UFT) headquarters for any sort of business. They had a big poster of Odungo up on the wall in the waiting area and used my dues money, against my will, to support libtard causes, even those they had no business being involved in, let alone spending dues monies on. There are conservative teachers out there, but they are generally persecuted by libtard administrators.

I don’t see any opinions that would show her views of our Second Amendment or positions on other constitutional issues that are important to us, yet. I do look forward to seeing how she decides in such cases during the years to come.
Well...I may have posted earlier that RBG’s seat is regarded not as the woman’s seat on SCOTUS but as the Jewish seat. Heck, it has three hard leftie women already.
Meaning of course, a very liberal Jewish candidate is assumed to be ideal for that seat.
A member of JPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership) who is pro-Israel and attends synagogue regularly would not be welcomed by the crazies.
