Rest in peace hero. Praying for his family and friends, also for anyone else hurt in that attack.
From Stars & Stripes:
He left his vehicle and was working to clear the area when another IED detonated, said Sgt. First Class Debra Richardson, a spokeswoman for the NATO Resolute Support mission Kabul, via email. Slape was medically evacuated to a medical care facility but despite valiant efforts to save him, his wounds were fatal.
An explosive ordnance disposal specialist assigned to 430th Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, 60th Troop Command, North Carolina Army National Guard, based in Washington, N.C., he was posthumously promoted from specialist to sergeant.

Rest in peace.
Meanwhile, leftists get the vapors over a 1982 imaginary party
We are still there why? So little Afghan girls can go to school?
That is not my problem.
Afghanistan has now made fools of Britain, Russia, and the US.
Let the Chinese have there swing at them.
Godspeed, Soldier...
Thank you.
Trump would have to re-enventory our entire Armed Forces after I was done over there. But we would’t have to put up with this kinda crap for a Very Very long time from the cultures in this part of the world.
They kill our children daily and call us to mourn and pray.
None dare call it a war even though the entire Muslem nation has openly declared that very thing against every non-believer and is invading entire countries across Europe. I am pissed at our leaders for not doing enough. For not stringing Obama and The Cankle and The Bent One up power poles with log chains and letting the crows pick their eyes out for lunch kinda pissed. Gang bangs back in High School call for more details than this mans death protecting our freedom!!
It should be mandatory that every active duty service members be detailed with informing immediate family members of a serviceman’s death at least once.
Hand Salute. I apologize that we let you down, James.
I am beginning to wonder (doubt?) why wonderful people would risk their life to protect the half of the people in this country who hate them.
