“He’s not being selfish in the very least.”

You’re missing the bigger point. He ran for office to represent the people of Montana. And, he is putting his daughters wedding over them. It could have been rescheduled. Or, worse case, he could have missed it. How many people serving their country, military, first responders, etc, have made tough choices in behalf of their country and missed weddings, children’s births, etc? Answer; lots. So, don’t tell me he’s not being selfish.

He’s not being selfish. Not even a little bit.

The bigger point is, the Dems pushed us to this date. If they can get any victory out of today, they will relish it. If Kavanaugh is confirmed, but they ruined a Senator's(R) daughter's wedding, they will look at it as punishment for what happened. As far as I'm concerned, the Secret Service should be at the wedding to help keep it on schedule and safe. Get him back to DC on the finest, fastest aircraft we can put him on. Take it out of the Dem's Congressional travel allowance.

It would be sad if he had to miss the wedding, but the future of America is at stake. An uncle, brother, or similar can stand in. Anyhow, with a private plane standing by he can do both. McConnell has the authority to end voting whenever he wants to.

I think Daines should vote no matter what. A larger spread between the ayes and nays would be good when history is written.

How many people serving their country, military

I missed my sisters wedding, as I was 13,000 miles away. In fact I didn't even know about it until a mom letter arrived a week later.

I've had fun with it since 1969 as I now accuse her husband of sneaking around behind my back with my little sister. He was one of my high school friends. He came back to the world from Nam only four months before my ETS. They could have waited four months.

My story is he rushed it because he knew I'd stand up in church to OBJECT.

It all good natured back and forth bantering.
