Unsolicited Advice to Judge Kavanaugh: Sue Them All
Real Clear Politics ^ | 10/05/2018 | L. Lin Wood

“Which office do I go to get my reputation back?” -- former Labor Secretary Ray Donovan.

But under our system of justice there is a place where an individual can go to seek redress and accountability for accusations that destroy reputation.

------------------------------------------------------- As you well know, the law provides that republishers of unsubstantiated, false accusations are liable for such accusations even when initially made by others if they republish those accusations with a reckless disregard for truth or falsity. Since at least 1896, our courts have recognized the legal maxim that “talebearers are as bad as talemakers” in the eyes of the law

Your list is long. NBC, MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times, USA Today, The New Yorker, and the parade of individuals of all stripes who cannot resist the lure of the bright lights and cameras to echo and validate your accusers in the media. And to restore some public faith in our profession, include on your list a lawyer named Michael Avenatti, who has abused and demeaned you and our system of justice for personal publicity, fame, and fortune.

“Doing nothing / zero repercussions only emboldens them.”

I agree 100%. It is not up to him to do the heavy lifting here, he did it during the “hearing”. It has to start with the Senate leader making referrals for prosecution. Unfortunately I heard him dodge that question during an interview on Ingraham last night. Frankly, he sounded like let’s move on from this. Not me, I’d hang them all from lamp posts.

“The powers that be and the dominant culture reckons their “hearts are in the right place,” and there’s the end to it.”

That’s why I didn’t think Collins “attempt” to “sanitize” Fineswine in her speech yesterday was bull$hit! To stand there and tell the Senate that she “knows” ChiFi would never leak Ford’s letter, made an otherwise decent speech a mockery of what she know’s Fineswine did. Fineswine and her a$$hole buddy Schumer are lower than the bottom of the barrel.

They didn’t criminally convict the protesters that destroyed property at the inauguration that was their first mistake hammer time/every time.

Too much celebration? It would make him seem petty as Ford and others have been relegated to the dustbins and he is standing tall with the big prize (for us) won.

Trump doesn’t like to lose. I was amazed how calm DJT was throughout this ordeal.

Unfortunately for Judge K. he is a public figure and, from what I understand, can not sue for defamation of character.

Only a private citizen can do this.

I don’t think the attacks on Kavanaugh are going to stop. If anything, they will increase. Bet money on it.

“So ask yourself - what is the political benefit to Trump, the GOP or Conservatives of Kavanaugh suing his accusers - no matter how deserved it is?”

Don’t go after the media. Go after all the left wing fringe groups that defamed Kavanaugh by openly lying about him on TV. Use the networks as witnesses and if necessary, co-conspirators. Idea here is to bankrupt all the left wing groups and force their donors to out themselves.

Brett Kavanaugh needs to keep his hands clean in this. Of course, retaliation is our first reaction but cooler heads will prevail. I found myself on my knees with tears in my eyes in prayer for his vindication, not just that he be confirmed as a justice. God will answer our fervent, righteous prayers for him in due time. Someone who knows the truth will step forward and “tell all”. Unless I miss my guess, Brett Kavanaugh is not going to interfere with God’s plan. (Apparently he and his family are even praying for his enemies.) Because of obedience to God in this, God promises the evil doers are having “hot coals” heaped on their heads. Someone with a conscience will come forward. Those who “rush to shed innocent blood” are despised by God.

If the Government would prosecute and convict the wrongdoers, Kavanaugh’s lawyers would have an easy harvest to collect in Civil suits.

If he sues, the left goes nuts because he’s a big meanie who is attacking poor widdle Chrissy. If he doesn’t, the left will say he’s hiding out because he’s guilty. It’s a lose/lose for him. Bottom line, he’s too much a gentleman to sue.

Yes. Sue them all and...REMEMBER! Put the screws to them whenever possible AND encourage the President to Declassify all the dirt on everyone-back to all the Kennedys. Especially the millions of tax $$ paid to victims of sex abuse by current and past Senators and Congressmen. If we’re going to use the microscope for one, use it for all. Name Names! We deserve to know WHO they are and what they were accused of-just like Kavanaugh.Expose the hypocrisy.

From a practical stand point, he probably can’t. At least not as a sitting SCOTUS justice.

Canon 1 and Canon 2 of the Code of Judicial ethics would probably not permit it.

He also probably can’t accept any of the gofundme that was raised for his family. (Unlike the liar who will get to retire in New Zealand with hers.)

Justice Kavanaugh and his family really sacrificed a lot for the nation to go through this process.

They need our prayers, support, and encouragement, and we need to vote in November to punish the Democrats who organized this entire charade.
