My office closed at 1pm today because of the uncertainty and report of impending verdict. I’m still here for a few more minutes and then getting outta Dodge.
My wife and I were in Miami in 1980 when a similar verdict was read.
We were on our motorcycle. We had stopped at a Krystal for lunch, and they had a TV going. It was a black neighborhood and the verdict was read.
I told my wife, We have to get outta here NOW!”...................
