She hasn’t been a legitimate Republican since 2010. She was defeated in that primary and violated the law to wage a sore-loser campaign, which should’ve been shut down at once.

I knew Flake and Collins would vote yes and if one didn’t it would be Leesa Merkowsky, who wasn’t giving any indication of her intentions. What did your GF Difi say to you, Lisa? I also figured Manchin would likely vote yes.

Collins, unlike Flake who cowered before them, seems offended by the protesters that accosted her. Good for her, she has some nads. Despite her status as one of the most liberal GOP Senators we should back her reelection in Maine (there isn’t going to be a viable primary challenger anyway, not now).

Murkowski was the only Republican Senator I did not endorse in the last election, because 2010 GOP nominee Joe Miller was the Libertarian nominee and polling ahead the desultory rat nominee who actually ended up placing 4th behind Miller and a liberal-leaning indie. (An amusing aside, “Libertarian” VP nominee Bill Weld endorsed.....Lisa! Over the only Libertarian nominee with the slightest chance of getting elected!)

We must not let time (unfortunately she’s not up til 2022) cool our passion. We must ensure a strong Republican runs in Alaska (whether Lisa bothers with the GOP primary or not), someone like Miller won’t do, he lost to her when she was a write in and that’s weak. I hope Palin isn’t teasing.

And we must encourage the far left to run against her (”Indie” Governor Bill Walker was running in the rat primary this year until Begich ran.) The party brass would back her but Murkowski could have trouble in a rat primary against a viable foe, and a rat nominee of decent strength (if she runs as an Indie) would ensure a GOP win in a 3-way race.

Manchin probably ensured his reelection but we should do everything we can to encourage the rat base to abandon him, they already hated him. It is very unfortunate that the Green party was apparently kicked off the ballot in WV.
