Retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens blasted nominee Brett Kavanaugh at a private event in Florida on Thursday saying his performance in the hearings should disqualify him.
I thought [Kavanaugh] had the qualifications for the Supreme Court, should he be selected, Stevens explained, speaking in Boca Raton.
Ive changed my views for reasons that have no relationship to his intellectual ability, he said, according to The Palm Beach Post.
Stevens, 98, has reportedly praised Kavanaugh in the past for his work as a judge, specifically in the 2014 book, Six Amendments: How and Why We Should Change the Constitution. But everything changed after his Judiciary Committee testimony.

Justice Stevens completed the interview by saying he just made boom-boom and needed a nappy.
If he dislikes Kavanaugh, that is all the more reason we will confirm a great justice, hopefully before this day is over.
He’s a 100 year old puppet that says whatever his Liberal handlers tell him to say.
At least Kavanaugh is a man of his own convictions.
Kavanaugh’s strident defense at the kangaroo hearing rocked the Left back on its heels. They had never been counterattacked in that manner, and such tactics make it virtually impossible to get away with their smears.
Thus they are trying to establish a new rule. Defending yourself stridently shows that you lack judicial temperament, and are hence ineligible for the Court.
See how that works?
The disturbing part of this article is that Stevens, apparently, once thought highly of Kavanaugh.
Liberal bastard....who gives a sh!t!!!!
Kavanaugh took a page out of Clarence Thomas book and used it very effectively. Thomas went through the same crap orchestrated by the fat, drunk, Ted Kennedy.
Pretty much don’t care what the deciding vote in the Kelo decision thinks.
