She knows the seat is lost and shes opting to take a cushy job with some Democrat think-tank or lobbying group.
____
I think you hit the nail on the head!
Well bye Heitkamp.
This is great news. It will bury her in the election. Hopefully Manchin and Donnelly will do the same and we will pick up three republican senators along with the fifth conservative SC justice
When did ND turn liberal? My relatives live there and it sure aint liberal.
Thats one pickup
ND isn’t liberal but they sure are addicted to gubmint pork, which explains why they vote for the satancrats sometimes.
I won’t be even remotely confident till we get on record how Flake, Collins and Murkowski vote.
I still do not trust them, I won’t trust them till they actually cast a vote in favor.
I am not that confident that this loathsome click won’t still vote no.
Yep. This no vote is to keep her in the good graces of the Democrat party machine. She knows her senate seat is lost already. Shell be rewarded with some cushy post in a think tank or lobbying firm or some other such place.
That’s really a gamble on her part. I don’t think she’s got the horsepower intellectually to be a contributor to any “think-tank”.
She can get a tv gig commenting on Conservatives...
She’ll have to elbow flake out of the way.
I’m surprised she’s voting no. Politicians usually hold out hope even when they’re 20 points behind.
She’s not leaving DC. She will never live with those hayseeds again.
She’s already lost and can’t save her herself by jumping the DNC ship now. She needs to remain loyal to the party if she expects to go home and stand a chance of winning a state or local position at the piggy trough later.
She’s losing and voting ‘yes’ won’t change that. Never expected her to be a ‘yes’ vote ... no surprise here. I think Manchin is the only one who might be a ‘yes’ - he’s in a world of hurt with his constituents who, by something like 30 points, want Kav to be confirmed and the Dems don’t want to lose his Senate seat.
Bingo !-00
Democrat?
Reasoning?
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!
North Dakota here. Very risky move on her part. Or.. this is a parting shot as she knows she’s on her way out. Which may be the case.
I think if she were in striking distance she definitely would have been a yes.
If you are going down, go down in flames with a last blaze of glory.
Five years from now, there may be a feature on “Where are they now?”, of all the Democrats who lost traction altogether in the waning days of their mid-term campaign.
