This lady, with her easy going demeanor, got the slut Ford to perjure herself many times. It was a great move.

Best approach, non confrontational, she let Ford keep on talking.

I must admit - I was not a fan of her questioning. I guess I just didn’t understand the strategery.

I believe the fake doctor fell hook, line, and sinker into a perjury trap and her pro bono lawyers could not care less because her role as an useful idiot was merely to engender sympathies from the sheep watching this debacle.

A bit surprising this coming from the Compost. Hat tip to them.

Even the Compost is starting to hedge their bet. This is going to be a great weekend, I get the feeling. I might start a virtual kegger thread after the vote is taken.

That settles it, right?
Ford goes to jail for lying, kamala and Corey resign, Kavanaugh is confirmed and leftists stop trying to destroy him.
Dream on?

"Perjury" is often thrown around carelessly, as it has been thrown at Kavenaugh. The lie has to be pretty important to the case. The matter of whether he generally drank, or drank a lot, or didn't, isn't material to whether he was at Ford's specific party and specifically lunged at her. Forget that crap.

Here Ford would like us that her polygraph test tells all. But she won't give any of the data beyond "I passed!", and she lied about polygraph tests. In my book, that's an important lie in her case. Vote and confirm Kavenaugh, then charge and prosecute Ford for perjury. And for obstruction (delay) of justice for lying about not being able to appear last week.

The decision by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley to have Arizona sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell question Christine Blasey Ford may well be remembered as a brilliant — and quite possibly pivotal — choice.

That's not what FReepers were saying right after Ford's testimony.

While it’s good to have Ford on the record committing perjury, most of the uninformed public will still be uninformed. It would have been more effective to have tripped her up and confronted her as she was speaking, and have her lies exposed during the hearing. As it is now, the msm will not report the findings, will put a spin on them, and it’s effect is diminished.

There’s no evidence to prove or disprove, so the best you can do is to show the inconsistencies of her story and get her to try and embellish her written statement, which seems to be vague and non-specific on purpose.

The next thing you know people will start questioning HRC’s use of “I don’t remember “ if Ford’s testimony is questioned. If the Republicans do challenge Ford’s testimony (remember she’s a woman who sniffled) they must have the VERIFIABLE goods on her big time.

So do all you FReepers who spent Monday whining "Investigate the bitch!" see how wrong you were yet?

Mitchell laid the groundwork for analysis of Ford's testimony which falls apart under it's own weight without any further questioning. This illustration makes that clear, and this is just the time frame, there are many other inconsistencies:

Go read the letter her lawyers wrote yesterday to FBI - BEGGING them to interview her. Of course they wanted her to be interviewed because they'd have loaded the FBI up with dozens of names to go check out, which would have taken weeks, and if they tried to vote in the meantime the Dems would have thrown a shit-fit about "ongoing investigation".

Whoever in the Trump Administration has been running this thing was three steps ahead of these nitwits.

All of this is meaningless.

She committed perjury. Big deal. When's the last time the Senate charged someone for lying to a committee?

We can prove she coached someone taking a polygraph. BIG DEAL. See above.

There was no jury hearing her testimony who will decide this 'case'. No jury except for Collins, Murkowski and Flake. And these three stooges are too stupid to notice how well the prosecutor did and too corrupt to care unless there's a HUGE groundswell of support for Kavanaugh from their voters. Flake has NO reason to support Trump's pick. (This REALLY, REALLY is all about Trump)

All we can hope for is that after the FBI report comes back and it is a clear and unambiguous statement of Kavanaugh's good character. And with that as cover Collins and Murkowski see their way to doing what they were elected to do. Flake is a lost cause in my estimation and should be beaten with a cane on the Floor of the Senate.

The republicans must have known Ford prepped that lady for a polygraph, that's why Rachel Mitchell asked the question. Stupid democrats, zero strategic thinking ability.

Man, the comment section there makes my head hurt. They’re not even listening to what the article is saying and most just respond with some version of, “This author is a clown. Get rid of him.”

“Rachel Mitchell expertly eviscerates the case against Kavanaugh” ... so well, that most people couldn’t even tell. /s

This wasn’t a “court of law”. This was a show trial for the public.

Sly, fancy, lawyer techniques were wasted on the masses (jury).

Unless they CHARGE CBF with perjury, her questioning was a waste of time.
